The study investigates the relationship between electricity trade and economic growth in South Africa. utilised time series data spanning from 1985 to 2022 collected secondary sources like Quantec. employed DF-GLS KPSS unit root, ARDL Bounds cointegration test, ECM model, Granger causality residual diagnostics tests. discovered presence of short long run negative relationships revealed unidirectional running generation recommends reduction boost Africa for period understudy. further makes following recommendations, future studies should consider investigating infrastructure utilising either or panel analysis.
